Departments of Medicine, Emergency Medicine to host research day

The West Virginia University Departments of Medicine and Emergency Medicine are hosting a Research Day Friday, April 27 from 8–4:30 p.m. Faculty, house staff and advanced practice professionals (APPs) of these departments should please mark the date on their calendars. 

The day will kick off in the Fukushima Auditorium at 8 a.m. with a Grand Rounds, “Could We Eliminate Coronary Artery Disease in Our Lifetime?' by Jagat Narula, MD, DM, PhD, MACC, FAHA, FRCP (Edin)—followed by oral abstract presentations and demonstrations from the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Panel discussions will take place at noon, followed by research-related small group sessions, where participants get to choose to attend four of eight topics. The event will close with poster presentations from 3–4:30 p.m.

Please make it a priority to attend this program. Those that register will have their clinics blocked. Lunch and snacks will be provided for those who register.
