Dr. Bailey named director of Allergy Division in the WVU Department of Otolaryngology

The West Virginia University Department of Otolaryngology is pleased to announce that Eric Bailey, MD, PhD, has been named director of its Allergy Division.

Dr. Bailey completed his PhD degree in Cell Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Galveston, Texas, and then went on to earn his MD degree at the East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn. While in medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Bailey came to West Virginia University to complete a residency in Otolaryngology, and then accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the department.

Dr. Bailey takes over the allergy directorship from Steven Coutras, MD,whose leadership permitted the division to double in size during his tenure.
