Dr. Chris Goode elected to UHA board

Chris Goode, MD, chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, has been elected to serve on the University Health Associates (UHA) Board of Directors from Jan.1-June 30, with eligibility of being re-elected. This seat became available due to the retirement of Michael Hurst, MD, DDS. The UHA Board thanks Dr. Hurst for his many, many years of service to the board and corporation.

Continuing to fulfill their terms are Sanford Emery, MD, MBA, Department of Orthopaedics; Hannah Hazard-Jenkins, MD, Director, WVU Cancer Institute; Nathan Lerfald, MD, Department of Medicine; Kathryn Moffett, MD, Department of Pediatrics; Arif Sarwari, MD, MSc MBA, Department of Medicine; and Alison Wilson, MD, FACS, Chief of the Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

University Health Associates is the business name for the WVU Medical Corporation (WVUMC), a private, not-for-profit corporation composed of faculty members of the WVU School of Medicine. The WVUMC is West Virginia’s largest multi-specialty physician practice.

UHA also operates faculty clinics around the state and region, and provides support to faculty members who practice at a number of WVU Medicine hospitals.
