New television ad debuts in support of WVU Medicine Children’s

A new television ad featuring WVU football coach Dana Holgorsen and former NFL and WVU quarterback Jeff Hostetler is now playing on television stations across West Virginia.

You can view the ad here.

Holgorsen and Hostetler, along with WVU native Steve Antoline, are chairs of the $60 million capital campaign to raise funds for the new WVU Medicine Children’s hospital. Proceeds from the campaign will be used to help pay for the construction of the new hospital and fund a variety of clinical programs.

The 155-bed, eight-story hospital is scheduled to be completed in 2020 and will include:

  • Entry, registration, administration, and building services
  • Diagnostic imaging and a laboratory
  • Two connections to the Southeast Tower (the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute)
  • Operating rooms, cardiac catheterization, and endoscopy facilities
  • A 25-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and sedation unit
  • A 61-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • A 39-bed pediatric acute care unit
  • A 30-bed obstetrical unit with potential for expansion
  • A medical office building, including Pediatric subspecialty and Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinic

The campaign, "Grow Children’s,” is meant to galvanize West Virginians to support the new hospital and to encourage them to donate to the campaign.
