WVU HSC Week of Engagement event

We are pleased to share the schedule for WVU’s Week of Engagement sponsored by the Center for Service and Learning. We hope students, faculty, and staff at HSC will be able to take part in many of these activities across campus and in the community beginning tomorrow.

HSC is very proud to host a Week of Engagement event. Dr. Kristi Wood Turner has developed a panel discussion – “Communicating Across Differences” – to take place in HSCN 1909 on Tuesday, April 25th at 12:00 pm. This panel will address the critical nature of public health and communicating with diverse populations when practicing, working, and volunteering in the health care area. Lynne Cossman, Professor and Chair of Sociology and Anthropology at WVU, will moderate the panel. Panelists include Joe Hample, Rabbi at the Tree of Life Congregation in Morgantown, Lee B. Smith, Executive Director of the Monongalia County Health Department, and James Berry, Associate Professor/ Medical Director of the Chestnut Ridge Center and Inpatient Acute Dual Diagnosis Program.
