Hand Surgery

The Hand Surgery Division is a member of the division of Plastic Surgery.  Division faculty members offer expertise in the multitude of injuries and ailments related to the fingers, hands, and wrists.

WVU’s hand surgeons perform a wide range of basic and advanced procedures including open and arthroscopic surgeries for repair of nerves, tendons, vessels, and bones. In addition, we offer the capability to perform microvascular reconstruction to provide tissue coverage to any part of the body, and reimplantation of traumatic amputations.

Through our Emergency Department and via telephone referrals from the MARS line, we offer 24-hour, 7-day per week coverage of all hand and wrist emergencies and referrals. Through our clinics, we are able to evaluate and care for a wide variety of elective and chronic conditions.
