Application Information

Dear Applicant,

Our program is based at Ruby Memorial Hospital, a partner in WVU Medicine.  Ruby Memorial Hospital is a tertiary referral center for the tri-state area serving West Virginia and parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania.  Part of our mission is to elevate the health care of the people of West Virginia which as a state ranks very low in most health care categories.  However, this challenging patient population provides our residents with unique experiences and opportunities making the clinical experience at WVU second to none.  The institution one of the only Level 1 Trauma centers and the only Level 3B Nursery (NICU) in the state.

The Anesthesiology Residency Program is accredited by the ACGME for residents in the intern to CA-3 levels. We offer 9 categorical positions through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). West Virginia University handles all of its applications through ERAS and the NRMP. 

Application Requirements

  • Completed ERAS Application
  • Medical School Graduation Documentation
  • Dean's Letter
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • USMLE scores or COMLEX scores
