Geriatrics Assistant Professor
West Virginia University Health Sciences Center – Eastern Division currently has full-time faculty for a Geriatrics assistant or associate professor for WVU’s Rural Family Medicine Residency Program and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program in Harpers Ferry, WV. Positions are primarily clinical and full-time with both inpatient and outpatient clinic coverage; hours vary and include call. Job duties include: provide clinical care and teach medical students, FM residents and fellows; and scholarly activities are highly encouraged. Must have an M.D. degree or equivalent and successfully completed an ACGME certified residency training program in Family or Internal Medicine. Completion of a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program is preferred. WV Medical License and DEA registration are both required by start date. Candidates should be BC/BE in Family or Internal Medicine with CAQ in Geriatrics. The successful candidate will engage in direct patient care in the long term care setting, and newly established University House Calls physician home visit service.

University Healthcare Jefferson Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital with observation unit. Operating rooms (3) are newly remodeled. Emergency room is also recently remodeled. EMR is in use and interfaced with majority of community physician offices.
Salary is competitive and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. The position will remain open until filled.
