West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking an open rank Allergy and Immunology Specialist with board certification or eligibility via ABAI with a passion to educate future physicians, provide top-tier care, and move medicine forward through research.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in pediatrics, med/peds or internal medicine and have acquired board certification in that specialty. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
The opportunity exists for building a robust allergy and immunology service serving a vast and diverse patient population. The larger part of your schedule will be dedicated to clinical practice, primarily pediatric but may include adults, as well. As a faculty member of the WVU Department of Pediatrics, there will also be an academic component tied to our teaching missions with medical students and residents. Faculty are highly encouraged to actively participate in the education mission and are supported in the pursuit of their own scholarly activities.
