Cardiovascular Critical Care
West Virginia University Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) seek applicants for academic faculty positions to join the Division Cardiovascular Critical Care at the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to join the existing excellent team of the WVU HVI which will be moving into its new $200 M facility in January 2017. This 10-story tower, inclusive of a new state-of-the-art 28 bed cardiovascular ICU, will be home to WVU’s efforts in cardiovascular quality and research, clinical education, outreach and statewide program development.
We seek applicants who hold an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted) who are ABMS or acceptable equivalent board certified in Critical Care Medicine, with a specific interest and skillset in cardiovascular critical care. Qualified applicants may come from any of the core training programs that lead to critical care training including medicine, surgery, anesthesia or emergency medicine. In addition to critical care coverage, the physician may have the opportunity to supervise medical students, residents and fellows as well as participate in clinical research and other academic activities. The faculty member will also be a key member of the newly created WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute that will supervise critical care at WVU.
