Medical Director, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics seeks a board certified/board eligible Medical Director for our Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit to join the faculty practice in Morgantown, WV. The ideal candidate will either be a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist with dual eligibility/training in critical care and cardiology, or a Pediatric Cardiologist who has specialized training and/or more than 10 years experience in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care medicine. This is a unique position for which the right candidate will provide daily care expertise to the Cardiac patients in the PICU, with limited night call.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatrics residency program and accredited critical care and/or cardiology fellowship programs, plus have extensive experience in managing post-operative cardiac surgery patients. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and pediatric residents. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research.
