The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery, is seeking a board eligible/certified neurosurgeon. The Department continues to expand, and the demand for our services is high. We are looking for a surgeon who has both an interest in providing general neurosurgical care in addition to developing a specialty interest. Opportunities for subspecialty development include complex spine surgery, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, complex pain management, and trauma/critical care. For the appropriate candidates, opportunities for research will be supported. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care, teaching medical students and neurosurgery residents and pursuing collaborative academic activities.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited neurosurgery residency program. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
