Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine
Posted: 5/9/2017The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics, is seeking a board certified/board eligible orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in sports medicine. Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
Candidates must have completed an accredited orthopaedics residency program and an accredited sports medicine fellowship by the time of appointment, and have significant training or experience in shoulder MIS and hip arthroscopy/minimally invasive labral tear hip surgery. General sports medicine practice is also expected. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and orthopaedic residents. Clinical and research opportunities in the department are readily available.
