West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pathology seeks an academic board certified/eligible pathologist, open rank in the clinician track to serve as Director of the Blood Bank and Stem Cell Laboratory. Responsibilities include providing regulatory oversight of the Blood Bank and medical consultative services in Transfusion Medicine. The teaching of medical students, residents and fellows is required. Candidates with interest and expertise in other areas of clinical pathology are highly desirable.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license at the time of employment. Candidates must have completed a residency in pathology (AP/CP or CP) and a fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
