Pediatric Anesthesiologist

The West Virginia University Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an additional Pediatric Anesthesiologist. Applicants must be ABA certified or eligible. Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. In addition to excellent patient care, the faculty member will have opportunities to teach anesthesiology residents and medical students and opportunities for clinical research exist.

The Department of Anesthesiology serves West Virginia University Hospitals, the premier regional referral center for West Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania and Maryland. The practice includes providing anesthesia for scoliosis surgery, ambulatory pediatric care, MRI sedation services, and the full scope of ENT practice.

WVU Medicine is a 645 bed hospital system, providing tertiary referral services and the most advanced level of care available to the citizens of West Virginia and bordering states. Major expansion is underway to Ruby Memorial Hospital, adding a 10-story tower and an additional 114 licensed beds. WVU Children's Hospital provides infant and pediatric care for the state and surrounding region, including programs for the medical and surgical management of congenital heart disease and pediatric neurosurgery.
