IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM STUDENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT & SERVICES:  Fall 2017 charges became available for students online through their STAR accounts on July 6.  The payment deadline has been extended from July 26 to August 1.

LAST CALL! - The Fall 2017 Student Health Insurance Waiver deadline is July 26th.   Student Insurance Office. 304-293-6815.

OPPORTUNITY WITH WV GERIATRICS SOCIETY:  As part of the part of the 13th Annual Scientific Assembly of the WV Geriatrics Society, consider these guidelines for submission of a poster highlighting original research and/or a case study on a topic relevant to geriatrics.  The winner could receive up to $1,200 to attend the American Geriatrics Society conference on May 3 - 5, 2018.  

STUDENT LOUNGE CLEANUP!  - Fridge? In preparation for the Class of 2021 arrival, the student lounge/fridge/freezer will soon undergo a sprucing and cleaning!  Please remove any personal items in the next few weeks in preparation for this work.

COMMUNITY SERVICE – Dr. Mark Cucuzzella and Dr. Ryan McCarthy will be conducting physicals for the Middle School Cross Country on Tues., Aug. 22nd, 6-8pm, at North Middle School in Martinsburg.  Need medical students to assist with physicals and distribute HPV information.  If you are interested in assisting, please contact the Eastern Student Services office: 304-596-6312.

CUSHING/NAU MODULE:  IV Start session scheduled for this Friday, July 21st, 3-5pm.  Be sure to complete the pre-assignment in LearningSpace prior to the session.  Jane Horst will be sending out the link for you to complete the assignment.

PRE-ASSIGNMENTS/READING MATERIALS for this Friday’s MedCHEFS education session are posted on SOLE under WVU MD curriculum thread content.  Be sure to review prior to the session on July 21st, 9:30am-12pm.

BLS/ACLS CARDS: Please visit the AHA website and CONFIRM your ACLS/BLS training cards.  If you do not, they will not register in the AHA database and your cards will not be valid.

FRIDAY EDUCATION:  Schedule is posted in SOLE for the Fall semester.  This is a tentative schedule, subject to change based on speaker availability.  You will be notified via email of changes in schedule.
