Cardiology

The Cardiology Section offers comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and management of diseases of the heart and circulatory system.

Digestive Diseases

The Gastroenterology Section provides diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreas.

Hematology/Oncology

The Hematology and Oncology Section specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of all malignant disorders (cancer) and diseases of the blood, including anemia, leukemia, and bleeding problems.

Infectious Diseases

The Infectious Diseases Section provides services consultation in infectious diseases for both inpatients and outpatients.

Interventional Cardiology

The purpose of the interventional cardiology training program is to prepare its trainees to function at a high level of clinical performance in interventional cardiology.

Nephrology

The Nephrology Section accepts referral of patients with hypertension, renal diseases, and electrolyte disorders.

Pulmonary & Critical Care

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Section evaluates and manages disorders of the respiratory system and cares for critically ill adult patients. Active inpatient and outpatient services are maintained.


Non-Standard Fellowship Programs


Academic General Internal Medicine Fellowship

This non-standard one-year fellowship program operates under the supervision and direction of the WVU Internal Medicine Residency Program, and offers interested and qualified physicians the opportunity to function in an introductory leadership role in Academic General Internal Medicine. The objective of this position is to enhance the development of administrative and teaching skills in Internal Medicine and provide an avenue for mastering clinical skills and scientific investigation in a large and diverse patient population at our off-campus VA Medical Center.
