Section of Rheumatology
The mission of the Section of Rheumatology at West Virginia University School of Medicine is to provide excellence in medical care in our specialty areas, to contribute to the training of Healthcare professionals to ensure the continued improvement in the health of West Virginians, and to participate in scientific research.
Mission and Goals
The Section of Rheumatology at West Virginia University School of Medicine includes specialists in Rheumatology and Sports Medicine. Our clinic offices are located on the third floor in the Physicians Office Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Our physicians are active in patient care, teaching and clinical research.
We provide patient care in the areas of:
- Arthritis and Autoimmune Diseases
- Sports Medicine
- Neck and Back Pain
We participate very actively in educational efforts, including lectures to students, residents, fellows and patients in the Morgantown community and throughout the state of West Virginia.
Members of the section have recently participated in research studies on myositis, sports injuries.
