Researchers:
Cathrin M. Bütefisch, M.D., investigates post-stroke mechanisms underlying the recovery of motor function, the mechanisms and modulation of use-dependent plasticity, and motor-cortex physiology involved in different movement disorders, such as distonia. In 2007, she was awarded an R01 grant from the National Center for Rehabilitation Research (NIH) for a four-year study, entitled "Neurobiological Principles Applied to the Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients."
