MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The spotlight turns to the ladies as WVU Healthcare experts will discuss the latest in women’s health and more on the next episode of “Doctors on Call,” which will air live at 8 p.m. on Thursday on West Virginia Public Television.
During live interviews, Clay Marsh, M.D., vice president and executive dean for health sciences, will talk about the many adverse effects of smoking, and Zachary Zinn, M.D., WVU Healthcare dermatologist, will talk about skin cancer. In addition, Aaron Mason, M.D., WVU Healthcare surgeon, will discuss plastic and reconstructive surgery options.
The “It’s No Big Deal” segment will illustrate the importance of having a mammogram. Viewers will learn how to perform chair yoga during the “DOC Demo” and get ideas for healthy recipes during the “DOC in the Kitchen” segment. There will also be a “DOC Survey,” which will allow viewers to answer whether they’re in favor of raising the cigarette tax to lower smoking rates.
Now in its 24th year, “Doctors On Call” transitioned from a weekly, half-hour-long, live call-in show to an hour-long magazine style show last year. The new “Doctors on Call” airs quarterly.
