ANESTHESIOLOGY
Gregory Summers, MD joins the Department of Anesthesiology. He is a WVU alumnus having earned his undergraduate, Master’s and medical degrees in Morgantown. His most recent appointment was with Pacific Anesthesia in Tacoma, WA.

Antonio Cassara, MD joins the Department of Anesthesiology’s pediatric service. He is a former pediatric anesthesiologist from UPMC where he also completed pediatric anesthesiology fellowship.

Heather Hayanga, MD joins the Department of Anesthesiology, providing cardiac and critical care anesthesiology. She was an assistant professor of anesthesiology at UPMC.

HEART AND VASCULAR INSTITUTE
Dean Wolz, MD joins the interventional cardiology division of the Heart and Vascular Institute. He will practice at United Hospital Center. He earned his MD at WVU, completed internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania in York, PA and cardiovascular fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. He was Director of the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, and Director of Market Expansion and Cardiac Services at Butler Health System in Butler, PA.

MEDICINE
Jennifer Giordano, DO joins the Endocrinology Division in the Department of Medicine. She completed endocrinology fellowship at East Carolina University and internal medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic. She is a former clinical assistant professor of endocrinology for Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Nadia Khan, MD joins the Department of Medicine’s general internal medicine service. At Wellspan in York, PA, she practiced both in- and outpatient medicine. Her most recent appointment was at a St. Clair Hospital affiliated practice in Mt. Lebanon, PA.

OPHTHALMOLOGY
Terry Wood, MD
joins the Department of Ophthalmology’s neuro-ophthalmology service. Dr. Wood completed ophthalmology residency and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University/Casey Eye Institute, where he also held a faculty research position. He was a former assistant professor at Loma Linda University and former interim chairman of ophthalmology at the University of Vermont.

ORTHOPAEDICS
Kathryn Bosia, DPM joins the podiatry division in the Department of Orthopaedics. She trained at Silver Lake Medical Center in the Kaiser Permanente system in Los Angeles, CA.

OTOLARYNGOLOGY
Meghan Turner, MD joins the rhinology service in the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Turner completed otolaryngology residency at NYU. She did fellowships in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery and clinical research and cranial base surgery at UPMC.

PATHOLOGY
Aaron Shmookler, MD joins the Department of Pathology. He completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency as well as transfusion medicine fellowship at Ohio State University
