WVU Charleston School of Medicine Students participate in West Virginia Overdose Awareness Day

Two West Virginia University School of Medicine students helped distribute Evzio (naloxone) autoinjector kits Saturday at the West Virginia Overdose Awareness Day. Michelle Angeline and Sarah Lively are both fourth-year medical students at the WVU Charleston Division.

45 kits were given to friends, families, and other concerned citizens at the event that celebrated lives lost to overdose and raised awareness about the epidemic. They worked with Dr. Michael Brumage, executive director and health officer of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, and WVU School of Medicine graduate.
