WVU IMMB students recognized at national conference

Ten students from the West Virginia University School of Medicine ASM Student Chapter recently attended the regional ASM meeting held at the University of Pittsburgh – Greensburg campus.The meeting had over 110 participants from 21 colleges in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Two undergraduate students, Abby Harold and John Nowery, and two graduate students, Dylan Boehm and Cynthia McMillen, presented their research in poster sessions. Graduate students Beth Bachert and Dudley McNitt gave oral presentations. Cynthia McMillen received the first place award in the graduate student poster division and Dudley McNitt received the first place award in the graduate student oral presentation division. 

Undergraduates attending included Kensey Bergdorf, Hope Bias, Jared Clapper, Abby Harold, John Nowery, and Savannah Sims. Graduate students included Beth Bachert, Dylan Boehm, Dudley McNitt, and Cynthia McMillen. Faculty were Jennifer Franko and Rosana Schafer
