Dr. Autumn Kiefer – Dr. Kiefer is a West Virginia native who trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and at Indiana University in Indianapolis. She served as the Associate Program Director beginning in 2014, and stepped into the Program Director role in 2017. Her interests are in medical education, patient safety, and applications of medical ethics to clinical practice. She and her husband Chris, a physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine, are the parents of triplets
Dr. Cody Smith - Dr. Smith is a native of southwestern Pennsylvania who trained in General Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He became an Assistant Professor at WVU in 2016 and Associate Program Director in 2017. His professional interests include neonatal abstinence syndrome, sedation, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. He and his wife, Shawna, are proud parents of a beautiful little girl. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially in the great outdoors, and CrossFit.
Valerie Sedney -
- Mrs. Sedney is a native of Pennsylvania. She attended West Virginia University. She started working in the Pediatric Clinic at WVU in January 2000. She became the Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program and the Neonatal Fellowship Program in September 2010. In the fall of 2016, she became C-TAGME certified and became the Program Administrator for both of these programs. She and her husband Dave enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, and relaxing with their puppy, Toby.
