Admission to the Program
The first class of physician assistants will begin studies in January of 2020. WVU plans to participate in the CASPA application process.
In order to be eligible for admission, a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited institution is required. In addition, students must fulfill the following:
- Submit GRE test scores.
- Have a minimum cumulative and prerequisite grade point average of 3.0.
- Complete all pre-requisite courses with a grade of C or higher.
- Complete eighty hours of clinical work in a health care setting (paid or unpaid) with letter(s) of reference from the supervisor(s) which includes evidence of how the student contributed to the delivery of care.
