Construction causes several parking changes

Because of construction activities around campus, there will be several changes to parking:

  • Starting Monday, Jan. 21, half of parking lot D will be fenced off due to the new construction of the WVU Medicine Children’s tower. Please use the other employee lots and/or the off-campus lots during this time.
  • If you are WVUH employee and are being provided parking in Area 81, please be aware that the transition out of Area 81 to J82/36 lot will start this week. You will be notified to switch your Area 81 parking pass to a J82/36 parking pass since the others will not be honored. The parking transition will start Monday, Jan. 21, with about 45 employees impacted. The remaining employees will stay in the assigned lot until construction on J82 progresses further, with the remaining staff being transitioned on or around Monday, Feb. 4.
  • Due to the number of staff parking at the off-campus Research Park employee lot, there will be an overflow lot located across the street. If you are unable to find a space in the Research Park lot, please use the overflow lot.

Also, parking behind the Child Development Center and Rosenbaum Family House will be impacted by construction in February.

On Feb. 2-3, a trailer for Yates Construction, used to coordinate the construction effort for the new Children's tower, will be moved behind Family House, which will eliminate about half of the parking spaces.
