Health Sciences Communications and Marketing announces new intake process

The West Virginia University Health Sciences Communications and Marketing team recently established a new project intake process for Health Sciences and School of Medicine announcements and marketing collateral. The new process will make it easier for groups to request communications assistance by streamlining the amount of request forms for various marketing pieces.

Make sure to have all information regarding your request ready before submitting the intake form. That includes:

  • Complete information about who, what, where, when and why
  • Intended audience and the action they should take
  • Who should review a draft (department chair, program leader, principal investigator, etc.)
  • Photos to accompany the piece if applicable
  • In-hands date that aligns with the stated turnaround times

After submitting the form, a team member will be in touch to let you know who is assigned to your project. Project intake is a rolling process, and routine items are evaluated as they are submitted, but for larger requests or needs, projects are reviewed each Tuesday before noon. Submissions to the form after noon on Tuesday may not receive a response until the following week.

There are no changes to how other Health Sciences’ schools intake their communications projects or to the following items:
