Patient Activities Program holding reading glasses drive

The WVU Medicine Patient Activities Program is holding a reading glasses drive now through June 18.

Patients often are admitted to the hospital without their reading glasses which severely limits their ability to enjoy diversionary activities, making hospital stays more stressful for patients and staff. You can donate new, non-prescription reading glasses for these patients by dropping them off with the ambassadors at the main entrance of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Reading glasses of +2.0 strength or higher are needed and can be purchased inexpensively at most dollar stores. Contact Evy Wright (evelyn.wright@wvumedicine.org) in Volunteer Services with questions.
