U.S. News ranked WVU Medicine Children’s the #1 children’s hospital in West Virginia

U.S. News & World Report released its annual rankings of children’s hospitals this morning, and once again, WVU Medicine Children’s earned exceptional recognition. For the fifth consecutive year, U.S. News ranked WVU Medicine Children’s the #1 children’s hospital in West Virginia .

Even more impressively, two of our programs earned national rankings. WVU Medicine Children’s Pediatric Urology was ranked #28 in the nation, marking the eighth consecutive year it has been nationally ranked. And for the first time ever, WVU Medicine Children’s Neuroscience Center Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry earned a place among the nation’s Top 50 programs, a remarkable milestone that speaks to the compassionate, specialized care our psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists provide every day.

A big congratulations to everyone at WVU Medicine Children’s for making this happen – this recognition belongs to you. Special shout-outs to Osama Al-Omar, MD, MBA, chief of Pediatric Urology, and Kari-Beth Law, MD, vice chair of clinical services for the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, for their outstanding leadership.
