The WVU Medicine Waynesburg Outpatient Center continues to expand its services in Greene County, Pennsylvania, with the opening of a newly renovated, larger Urgent Care clinic.

“As WVU Medicine continues to expand on its commitment to the citizens of western Pennsylvania and Greene County, the Waynesburg clinic and urgent care continue to provide our patients the right care, at the right time, close to home,” Christopher Goode, MD, WVU Health System executive vice president and chief clinical integration officer, said. “We are humbled by the confidence the community continues to show in us.”

The Center’s expanded Urgent Care clinic provides additional space to accommodate growing demand for convenient, same-day care. It encompasses approximately 3,689 square feet and includes five exam rooms and two procedure rooms.

In addition to urgent care services, the facility offers Primary Care, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, Dermatology, and several part-time specialty services, as well as laboratory testing, x-ray, ultrasound, EKG, and cardiac and vascular imaging.

WVU Medicine began providing urgent care services at the Waynesburg Outpatient Center in July 2025 within the existing operational space of the outpatient center. The facility’s renovation creates a dedicated footprint designed to support the community’s ongoing need for accessible urgent care.

“Allowing the existing urgent care clinic to relocate to this new space will enhance our outpatient center,” Darin Rogers, WVU Medicine Practice Plans chief operating officer, said. “This move allows us to expand current clinical services and add additional capabilities at the Waynesburg center; this will greatly benefit the community. The clinic’s staff did an outstanding job managing the ever-increasing patient demand during this clinical expansion.”

The Urgent Care clinic is open daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and is staffed by physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to treat patients seeking timely care.
