It's not too late to contribute to WVUH's United Way campaign
"Together, we can move mountains” – that’s the theme of this year’s United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties’ community campaign.
The United Way campaign goal is $1,200,000. Money raised will provide support for 26 local health and human service agencies.
From basic needs – like food, shelter, and clothing – to support for abuse victims, the elderly, and veterans, there are United Way programs and agencies that support those in need.
Over the years, WVU Hospitals and its employees have contributed more than $2.2 million to the United Way of Monongalia and Preston counties. This year’s goal is $150,000, and as of Dec. 7, close to $132,000 has be raised. The campaign runs through Friday, Dec. 24.
Contributions will help ensure the United Way continues to have the resources it needs to make a difference in the lives of those in our community.
