Special Populations

This program is designed for those individuals who require one-on-one supervision during exercise. This includes individuals with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, severe obesity, pulmonary diseases, orthopedic limitations, osteoporosis, etc.

Patients engage in 3 exercise sessions per week under the supervision of an exercise physiologist.

Typical exercise sessions include:

  • Stretching and flexibility
  • Aerobic exercise
  • Arm ergometry
  • Bicycles
  • Nu Step
  • Walking
  • Rowing
  • Strength training with BodyMaster machines or dumb-bell free weights
  • Blood pressure, heart rate, and exercise mode, duration and intensity are monitored.

Supervised exercise sessions are:

  • Mon., Wed., Fri., 9:00 am – 11:00 am
