Human Performance Lab

HPL students

Providing clinical programs to improve physical health and well-being is the primary mission of the Division of Exercise Physiology’s Human Performance Lab (HPL).

HPL experts craft customized, clinical exercise programs for disease prevention, management, and rehabilitation.

Unlike traditional exercise programs, HPL programs are customized for each participant on the basis of individual needs, limitations, and results of laboratory testing.

Participants receive an assessment of behavioral and psychosocial risk factors associated with physical health and well-being.

Who can participate?

  • WVU employees
  • WVU Medicine employees
  • Students
  • Community members
  • One-time visitors
