The Northern West Virginia Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience serves as support network for scientists and students interested in neuroscience and communicates research activities and a basic understanding of neuroscience to the general public through outreach.
Feed Our Brains Campaign
The Feed Our Brains campaign aims to pay off overdue student lunch balances at elementary and middle schools in greater Monongalia County as well as introduce students to neuroscience through games and activities.
A co-ed, overnight summer camp open to high school students entering 11th & 12th grade with an interest in neuroscience.
Brain Awareness Week
Each year during Brains Awareness Week, The Department of Neuroscience's students and faculty visit various schools to teach kids about the brain and neuroscience.

Several Neuroscience graduate students joined in to support the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student Organization’s yearly attendance at Trunk or Treat

The WVU Neuroscience Graduate Student Organization (NGSO) participated in Walk MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Morgantown.
Morgantown Area Girl Scouts
Neuroscience graduate students have worked with local area Girl Scout troops to introduce them to women in STEM.
