The Return to Campus website has updates about WVU’s fall semester. Visit coronavirus.wvu.edu and CDC.gov for health resources related to the global pandemic.

Admission Requirements

In order to be eligible for admission and an interview for the MOT 2021 program, students must complete the following:

  • MOT application through OTCAS between September 15-February 15 with January 15 as the priority deadline.

  • Completion of 40 hours of observation with at least two different occupational therapists in at least two different sites.

  • Recommendations from two occupational therapists supervisors from observation hours. The WVU MOT program requires two recommendations, this differs from the OTCAS system which requires the contact information for three “evaluations”(recommendations).  For students applying to the WVU MOT program only, you will need to submit the contact information for a third person from any source to be able to submit the OTCAS application. The third evaluation and recommendation letter will not have to be completed(uploaded) for your application to be considered by the WVU MOT program. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health care facility operations, the therapist observation requirement is being waived for the upcoming 2022 admissions cycle. Students who have completed observation hours may submit them with their application.
  • Overall and pre-requisite GPA of 3.0
