Beloved therapy dog Charlotte passes away

WVU Hospitals Volunteer Services recently lost a very special volunteer. Charlotte was the first therapy dog to join its Healing Hounds program.

Charlotte crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on June 27 after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. During her 12 years of service, she provided countless smiles to patients, family members, and staff at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and will be sadly missed. Sharon and Kate Hall were the dog's handlers. RIP Charlotte!
