Cronin Achieves Emeritus Status

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Anne Cronin, Ph.D., OTR/L, ATP, FAOTA on the achievement of Professor Emeritus after 24 years of service at WVU. Serving as a founding faculty member, Dr. Cronin taught core courses in the curricula and focused on her specialty knowledge in research and pediatrics.  She has been on the forefront of Interprofessional education and has been the primary OT instructor for two interdisciplinary courses since her arrival in 1997.  Additionally, Dr Cronin has also developed and instructed interdisciplinary post-graduate courses with Communication Sciences and Speech Language Pathology.  

Dr Cronin served as interim Chairperson for the Division of Occupational Therapy from 2017 through 2019 where she led the Division through an extensive curriculum redesign.  Dr Cronin has also been instrumental in the Division of OT’s participation in Camp Gizmo, Go Baby Go, and CAR FIT. She is has received over $900,000 in grant funding from a variety of sources including HRSA,  Bureau of Maternal and Child Health, Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and the West Virginia Department of Education. 

Dr. Cronin has authored 16 peer reviewed journal articles, 30 book chapters, and well as co-author on an additional 8 chapters.  Dr. Cronin has also authored or edited two textbooks, one on Human development written as an interdisciplinary text with PT and she co-authored a book on clinical reasoning.
