Four groups create top displays in WVUH’s holiday decoration contest

The competition was as tough as the Grinch’s scowl, but four employee groups took honors in the WVU Hospitals Safety and Environment of Care Committee’s Holiday Decorating Contest.

The winners were selected from among the following categories, along with an honorable mention designee: inpatient department; outpatient department; and non-clinical department.

The top decorators, as shown in the collage below are:

Top row, left, Children’s Hospital Surgical Services (inpatient); Fairmont Medical Center main lobby (honorable mention); bottom row, left, Family Medicine Clinic at University Town Centre (outpatient/ambulatory); and the Human Resources Office at Ruby (non-clinical/other).

Departments were judged by members of the WVU Hospitals Safety and Environment of Care Committee. The judging criteria included staying in compliance with all decorating safety rules, creativity, and overall appearance.

Each department that participated brought fun and holiday cheer to their department and colleagues, while maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Great job, folks!
