Gov. Justice Visits Fairmont Medical Center
Gov. Jim Justice visited the WVU Medicine Fairmont Medical Center greeting dozens of employees.
“It’s really a gratifying day for me to be able to stop by and see the progress we’ve made,” Gov. Justice said. “Things are going well, maybe even exceeding expectations. And, as we exceed expectations, we’re just going to be able to do more, employ more, and bring in more services.”
It took a broad array of expertise from throughout the WVU Health System to open the Fairmont Medical Center – from doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff to Facilities and Information Technology to Human Resources and Safety.
A shout-out to just a few of the team members whose commitment to this project made it a reality: Aaron Yanuzo; Chris Goode, MD; Tom Marshall, MD; Stuart Godwin, MD; Troy Krupica, MD; Danyel Tacker, PhD; Cari Morgan; Valerie Boley; and Dan Bazzoli, Catherine Mayle, and the many other house supervisors.
WVU Medicine is committed to providing high quality care to the residents of Marion County and plans to expand its presence there.
