Immunology and Medical Microbiology students receive 2019 SURE Fellowships
The Office of Undergraduate Research provides students the opportunity to participate in research as early as their first semester on campus. Every semester, many Honors College students take advantage of the resources provided by this office to match with a professor doing research in their field of interest. The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) is an eight-week summer undergraduate research experience for students interested in careers in research or graduate school
within their disciplines. The selected students receive a stipend and are expected to research full-time for those eight weeks.
Four students in the Immunology and Medical Microbiology undergraduate program have accepted 2019 SURE Fellowships. Junior Quinn Hopen will work with Dr. Jennifer Franko; sophomore Katherine Lee with Dr. Edwin Wan; sophomore Wendy Jent with Dr. Paul Chantler; and freshman Lily Schelling with Dr. Salik Hussain.
