Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis graduate students awarded at Autumn Immunology Conference

Undergraduate immunology and medical microbiology and graduate immunology and microbial pathogenesis students attended the 51st Annual Autumn Immunology Conference (AIC) held November 17-20th in Chicago. The students were accompanied by Professor Jon Busada, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Microbiology, Immunology, and Cell Biology Department.

Immunology and microbial pathogenesis graduate students Benjamin Duncan and Stuti Khadka were both awarded the AAI Young Investigator Awards. This award is presented to the first authors of the top abstracts in each workshop category.

Founded in 1971, the AIC annual meeting features plenary sessions presented by immunologists as well as offering a forum for students and trainees to present their latest findings in both poster and workshop formats. Attendees have the opportunity to attend keynote presentations, workshops, and panel discussions on a variety of topics related to immunology.
