Medicine Grand Rounds: Dr. Hingle to give presentation

A visiting professor from Southern Illinois University will give a presentation during the Department of Medicine grand rounds on Friday, Dec. 1, at 8 a.m.

The presenter will be Susan Thompson Hingle, M.D. Dr. Hingle serves as a professor of internal medicine and medical humanities at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She also serves as the associate dean for the Center for Human and Organizational Potential, the chair for the Department of Humanities and the director of professional development and wellness for the Department of Medicine.

Her presentation is titled "Building an Inclusive Environment of Caring and Engagement So We Can Grow, Thrive and Succeed." The presentation will focus on defining the link between satisfaction, engagement, inclusion and thriving, recognizing the steps needed for cultural change and recommending steps to improve organizational well-being and thriving.

The presentation will be held online via Zoom and in person. The in-person presentation will take place in the Fukushima Auditorium on the first floor of the Health Sciences Center near the entrance to the Dental Clinic.
