Medicine Grand Rounds: Dr. Nuss to give presentation on physician shortages

A West Virginia University School of Medicine alumna and visiting professor from Augusta University will give a presentation on physician shortages during the Department of Medicine grand rounds on Friday, March 24, at 8 a.m.

The presenter is Shelley Nuss, M.D., FACP. Dr. Nuss is the campus dean, associate dean for GME and the designated institutional official for the Augusta University / University of Georgia Medical Partnership. She is also a professor of internal medicine and psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and an adjunct clinical faculty in the Department of Psychology in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia.

Nuss is an alumna of the WVU School of Medicine M.D. Program and the internal medicine and psychiatry residency program, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Prior to relocating to Georgia, Nuss served as the program director for the internal medicine and psychiatry residency program at the WVU School of Medicine and the vice president of medical affairs for WVU Hospitals.

Her presentation is titled "One State's Innovative Approach to Addressing Physician Shortages." The presentation will be held online via Zoom.
