Mindfulness activities planned for Health Sciences community

Friday, April 14 | 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Pylons Commons

The WVU Health Sciences community – students, faculty and staff – is invited to take a moment for mindfulness on Friday, April 14 in the Pylons Commons area.

From 10 a.m. – 1p.m. in the hallway behind Jazzman’s, BlissBlissBliss massage therapists will provide chair massages on a first come, first served basis.

The art cart will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the lounge outside Fukishima Auditorium.

A ‘mindfulness sampler’ will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Pylons Commons. The Mindfulness Team will guide individuals through short 15-minute sessions including:

  • 12 p.m. - Mindfulness Meditation: Welcome the Now
  • 12:15 p.m. - Yoga: Neck & Shoulder TLC
  • 12:30 p.m. - Compassion Meditation: Connect to Joy
  • 12:45 p.m. - Mindfulness Meditation: Tune in to Sound
  • 1 p.m. - Yoga: Jazz up your Spine
  • 1:15 p.m. - Compassion Meditation: Everyday Awe

Mats and cushions will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
