The Office of IPE has partnered with the WVU Art Therapy program to kick off IPE Week with a Prompted Art Session in the Pylons surrounding Pain. The session will occur on Monday, March 20^th from 4-6pm. We are encouraging students to sign up for the event using the link below.

During this event, participants will learn about art therapy, ways to engage in art for self-care, and also create their own miniature paintings about stress and what helps restore and rejuvenate us, ultimately reigniting our sense of purpose in our work. FIRST Webinar - Filing Taxes as a Medical Student or Upcoming Resident

Filing taxes is important during and after medical school. This session will touch on topics and proper procedures you should adhere to when deciding if you should file, when to file and what documents or information you need to do so. We’ll also touch on the implications filing taxes may have when looking at student loan repayment options.

:::WVU FAMILY MEDICINE RURAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS:::

The WVU Department of Family Medicine is pleased to announce that the applications for its innovative Rural Scholars Program are now available. This program is designed for students committed to making rural/small town Family Medicine in West Virginia a career. Qualified MS III’s are eligible for a $10,000 stipend for their fourth year and facilitated admission to WVU’s Morgantown Family Medicine Residency. The Rural Scholars Program allows for an enhanced primary care experience in the 4^th year curriculum as well as early integration into the residency experience.
