MUSHROOM Project hosting backpack and blanket drive

School of Medicine is hosting a backpack and blanket drive for the Multidisciplinary Unsheltered Homeless Relief Outreach Of Morgantown (MUSHROOM) Project through Sept. 29.

The program brings together medical, nursing, dental, social work and other health professional volunteers on “street rounds.” Volunteers go to the places where they are needed most to reach individuals experiencing homelessness to offer basics of care, including food, water, clothing and basic medical intervention.

Those wishing to donate can bring any backpack or drawstring bag and/or small to medium size blankets, used or new and in good condition to the first floor of the Health Sciences Center (North), right in front of the elevators, now until Friday, Sept. 29.

For any questions, contact 347-741-1330.
