Office of Health and Wellness seeking proposals

The Office of Health Promotion and Wellness leverages existing resources to serve faculty, staff, and students across the University system. Their work is based on the WVU Wellbeing Wheel, the framework that drives wellness initiatives at West Virginia University.

If you have a project idea related to one of the following Wellbeing Priorities, submit your proposal to amsidwell@hsc.wvu.edu by Friday, March 5, 2021.

EMOTIONAL Wellbeing- Feeling a sense of balance in emotion, thoughts, and pursuits.

PHYSICAL Wellbeing- Caring for your body through regular movement and balanced nutrition and sleep.

COMMUNITY Wellbeing- Feeling connected, engaged, and safe in your community.

FINANCIAL Wellbeing- Learning to effectively manage your money and seek out resources to support financial goals.

SOCIAL Wellbeing- Building strong relationships, connections, and support systems with others, including coworkers and students.

PURPOSE Wellbeing- Liking what you do and being motivated to expand your sense of purpose and meaning.

Instructions for Requests for Proposals

Please submit a Microsoft Word document that includes the following information:

  1. Title of the project
  2. Name and email address for the person submitting the request. A .wvu, .hsc, or mix.wvu.edu email address is required.
  3. The WVU Wellbeing Priority being addressed. See page 1.
  4. Project description
    1. Describe the purpose of the project
    2. Demonstrate how the purpose is aligned with the Wellbeing Priority.
    3. Emotional Wellbeing is stranded throughout each of the other Priorities. Explicitly address how your project will incorporate Emotional Wellbeing.
    4. Describe the audience (faculty, staff, students, community)
    5. Estimate number of people who may be impacted
  5. Timeline
    1. Planning
    2. Implementation
    3. Evaluation
  6. Budget
    1. Fiscal agent
      1. Unit that will use funds, if awarded
      2. Contact name and email address for the unit’s budget officer
    2. Total amount requested
    3. Itemized list of estimated expenses
    4. Financial sustainability plans
