IPE to host “Art at the Pylons” event celebrating creativity and wellness
The Art Therapy and Music Therapy programs at West Virginia University invite students, faculty and staff to take a creative break and explore the healing power of the arts during Art at the Pylons, taking place on Tues. April 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Held under the iconic Health Sciences pylons, this interactive event offers attendees the opportunity to express their creativity through mini canvas painting, collage-making, and instrument exploration. Participants will also learn about the therapeutic benefits of art and music in supporting mental health and emotional well-being.

No prior art or music experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore the creative process and have fun.

Art at the Pylons is part of WVU’s celebration of Interprofessional Education (IPE) Month, which brings together members of the Health Sciences community for collaborative, hands-on learning experiences that emphasize wellness, communication, and teamwork.

Whether you’re looking to de-stress, recharge, or simply try something different, stop by and let your creativity flow.
