Resident Research and Quality Improvement training and education

A new academic year welcomes a new class of residents. Our interns will be engaged in Research and Quality improvement (QI) sessions to meet GME requirements and to begin their path as clinician scientists/clinician adults. The didactic material covers research question development, subject choice, variable choice, study design and implementation. The in-person meeting assignments provide the residents a chance to apply what they’ve learned and experience how team science works in the development and planning of their study. In February and March the residents will be presenting their QI ideas to their fellow residents and the department during noon conference. We appreciate all faculty and staff helping us in the evaluation of these projects, the training of the residents and volunteering as PIs.

This year we’ll have additional continuing education in Research and QI presented during afternoon report throughout the year. Dr. Judith Feinberg will kick off this new offering with a conversation about ethical authorship.
