Shark recognized as outstanding alumni

Rebecca Shark, MOT, OTR/L currently works for Kennedy Krieger Institute’s International Center for Spinal Cord Injury. She specializes in Activity-Based Restorative Therapy. Utilizing advanced technology and massed practice activity, she facilitates the recovery process of individuals across the lifespan who suffer from disorders of the spine and neurological system. When she is not in the clinic, Rebecca can be found completing guest lectures for OT, PT, and medical students at WVU.

Rebecca Shark, OTR/L, is an alumnus of the WVU division of OT, class of 2017. She’s pictured below with Dr. Amanda Acord-Vira who recognized her as the Class of 2017 WVU OT Mountaineer Award winner. After graduation, Rebecca set out to pursue her interest in neurological rehabilitation.  She also continues to pursue her own learning online through the University of St. Augustine. Her future goals include completing her EdD and transitioning to a role in academia and research to further progress the profession of OT.
